St. Louis Review, Catholic St. Louis, archdiocese receive honors from Catholic Media Association

The St. Louis Review, Catholic St. Louis and the Archdiocese of St. Louis received a combined 21 awards from the Catholic Media Association, announced June 21 at the annual Catholic Media Conference held in Atlanta.

Jacob Wiegand received a second-place award for photographer of the year. “Masterful use of light. The images are vivid, arresting, and evocative, leading one to wonder just what each subject is thinking about,” the judges wrote. “The themes of family, faith, and spiritual contemplation are captured beautifully.”

And Abigail Buettner received a third-place award for graphic artist/designer of the year. “This artwork is solid and effective illustration work. They are simple and get the message across,” the judges wrote.
