Archbishop Robert J. Carlson has made the following appointments, effective July 28, 2020:
Very Rev. Charles W. Barthel, remaining pastor of Mary, Mother of the Church Parish in St. Louis, is released from being canonical pastor of St. Andrew Parish in Lemay.
Rev. Michael J. Benz, parochial administrator of St. Agnes Parish in Bloomsdale and of St. Lawrence Parish in Lawrenceton, is appointed pastor of St. Agnes Parish in Bloomsdale and pastor of St. Lawrence Parish in Lawrenceton.
Rev. Msgr. Jerome D. Billing, chancellor for canonical affairs and pastor of Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish in St. Louis, is released from the office of pastor of Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish and appointed to reside at Regina Cleri; remaining chancellor for canonical affairs.
Rev. Richard J. Bockskopf, senior associate pastor of Ascension Parish in Chesterfield, is granted retirement status, remaining in residence at Ascension rectory.
Very Rev. Michael P. Boehm, vicar general, president of St. Francis Borgia Regional High School with residence at St. Francis Borgia rectory, is released of his responsibilities as president of St. Francis Borgia Regional High School as of June 30, 2020, and appointed pastor of St. Francis Borgia Parish in Washington and chaplain of St. Francis Borgia Regional High School; remaining vicar general.
Rev. Msgr. John J. Borcic, pastor of St. Mary Magdalen Parish in St. Louis, is granted retirement status, and to reside in private residence, effective July 1, 2020.
Rev. Raymond D. Buehler, parochial administrator of Good Shepherd Parish in Hillsboro, is appointed pastor of Good Shepherd Parish in Hillsboro.
Rev. Andrew V. Burkemper, associate pastor of Holy Infant Parish in Ballwin, is appointed parochial administrator of St. Bridget of Kildare Parish in Pacific.
Rev. Patrick J. Christopher, senior associate pastor of Sacred Heart Parish in Valley Park, is appointed pastor of St. Joseph Parish in Apple Creek and pastor of St. Maurus Parish in Biehle.
Very Rev. Timothy R. Cook, pastor of Sts. Teresa and Bridget Parish in St. Louis, is released from the office of pastor of Sts. Teresa and Bridget Parish in St. Louis and appointed senior associate pastor of Mary, Queen of Peace Parish in Webster Groves; relieved of office of dean of North City Deanery.
Rev. Peter Faimega, associate pastor of All Saints Parish in St. Peters, is appointed associate pastor of St. Joseph Parish in Imperial.
Rev. Brian S. Fallon, pastor of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Parish in Crestwood, released from the office of pastor of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Parish July 1, 2020; appointed pastor of St. Mary Magdalen Parish in St. Louis, effective July 1, 2020; remaining vocation director.
