He pronounced first vows on Aug. 15, 1945, and was ordained to the priesthood at St. Mary’s College in St. Marys, Kansas, on June 18, 1956. He pronounced his final vows as a Jesuit on Aug. 15, 1960, at Regis College in Denver.
