About Sister Margaret Snyder: I grew up in Kirksville, Missouri, and never had the opportunity of Catholic education until I entered the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio, Texas. My ministry life has been in education — formally in the classroom at St. Joachim in Old Mines and Incarnate Word Academy in Normandy. I was engaged in more informal education through vocation ministry in the Archdiocese of St. Louis as well as for our Congregation and through campus ministry in El Paso, Texas, and San Antonio, Texas. Education, especially Catholic education, has always been one of my priorities. It seems almost impossible to believe that I have spent 60 years in religious life — 60 years of God’s loving faithfulness to me and my striving to respond in loving fidelity to God and God’s people. What a blessing it has been, although not always easy. I wouldn’t hesitate to say a wholehearted ‘Yes’ all over again!
