Gun Sense: For the Common Good, a ministry at St. Margaret of Scotland Parish, will present, “From Outrage to Action,” a conference to dissect the Church’s response to curbing gun violence, at 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 29, at St. Margaret of Scotland (church hall), 3864 Flad Ave. in St. Louis. Speakers include Deacon Tyler McClay of Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of St. Louis; Deacon Dan Fitzgerald, chair of the archdiocesan gun violence prevention task force; Carla Maley of St. Martha’s, a ministry of Catholic Charities; and Cheryl Sommer of JustFaith Ministries.
