Evangelii Gaudium lecture
Father Matthew Baugh, SJ, will give a lecture, “The Joy of the Gospel in a Polarized Public Square,” at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 9, at Saint Louis University’s Catholic Studies Centre, 38 N. Vandeventer Ave. on SLU’s campus. Father Baugh will speak about the hope that Pope Francis finds in the Gospel for our polarized societies, in the midst of the upcoming elections. It is part of a lecture series on the 10th anniversary the Holy Father’s apostolic exhortation, “Evangelii Gaudium” (Joy of the Gospel). The series is sponsored by the Catholic Studies Centre and the archdiocesan Peace and Justice Commission. Free parking is available, and no RSVP necessary.
