Coat drive success
A coat drive run by the Society of St. Vincent de Paul conference at St. Josephine Bakhita Parish in St. Louis collected 108 coats for families at St. Louis Crisis Nursery. St. Louis Catholic Academy collected an additional 240 for a total of 348 coats donated to the crisis nursery, which is housed on the campus of Sts. Teresa and Bridget Church. “A coat collection for new and gently used children and women’s coats came out of a needs discussion with staff from our community partner St. Louis Crisis Nursery,” said Harold Bailey, president of the St. Josephine Bakhita conference. “With the amount of ongoing requests for resources from our neighbors it’s critical that our conference and community partners collaborate to assist in efforts to honor those requests.”
