Archdiocese to host candlelight eucharistic procession on Corpus Christi weekend

Several parishes are holding Corpus Christi processions on or near the solemnity

As part of the Eucharistic Revival in the Archdiocese of St. Louis, a candlelight eucharistic procession will take place on Corpus Christi weekend, Saturday, June 10.

The procession will begin at 6:30 p.m. at St. Francis Xavier “College” Church, 3828 Lindell Blvd. in Midtown St. Louis. Father Donald Anstoetter will give a talk, with Mary Kate Westrich leading praise and worship music.

The eucharistic procession will begin at 7:30 p.m. and head from the College Church to the Cathedral Basilica of Saint Louis, ending with prayer and Benediction at 8:30 p.m. with Archbishop Mitchell T. Rozanski.

All are welcome, with a special invitation extended to newly married couples, families with a recently baptized child, and families whose children have received first Communion or have been confirmed.

Cathedral Basilica of Saint Louis, 4431 Lindell Blvd: Sunday, June 11, following the noon Mass

North County Deanery: Parishes and schools of the North County Deanery will host a procession at 7 p.m. Sunday, June 11, following the 6 p.m. Mass at Sacred Heart Parish, 751 N. Jefferson St. in Florissant. The procession will move through the streets of Florissant, ending at the Old St. Ferdinand Shrine. Ice cream and bottled water will be available afterward.

St. Ambrose, 5130 Wilson Ave. on the Hill: Sunday, June 11, following the 11 a.m. Mass

St. Francis de Sales Oratory, 2653 Ohio Ave. in south St. Louis: Sunday, June 11, 10:30 a.m. Solemn Mass, followed by eucharistic procession

St. Gerard Majella, 1971 Dougherty Ferry Road in Kirkwood: Sunday, June 11, following the 11 a.m. Mass

St. Mary Magdalen, 4924 Bancroft Ave. in south St. Louis: Sunday, June 11, following the 9:30 a.m. Mass

St. Justin Martyr, 11910 Eddie & Park Road in Sunset Hills: Sunday, June 11, at 10 a.m. (in between the 9 and 11 a.m. Masses)

Sts. Joachim and Ann, 4112 McClay Road in St. Charles: Saturday, June 10 after 5 p.m. Mass

St. Joseph, 1355 Motherhead Road in Cottleville: Sunday, June 11, after the 12:15 p.m. Mass. A free luncheon will take place after the procession.
