Spirituality and Resilience

June 8 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

$25

This afternoon program is part of the “Wellsprings of Spirituality” series to mark Mercy Conference and Retreat Center’s 50 years of service in the Archdiocese of St. Louis.

“Life is full of suffering, and life is full of overcoming suffering” (Helen Keller).
Here is a tiny retreat for adult seekers of all ages. Whatever your spiritual tradition, or no spiritual tradition, you will connect with adults of all generations who are interested in exploring the inner life in a new way. You will leave this retreat with practical tools to boost your HQ & RQ (Happiness & Resilience Quotients). Ancient spiritual practices informed by mystics of the Judeo-Christian tradition will be presented with refreshing modern updates informed by somatic, and object relations psychotherapy. Bring your open mind and open heart.

About the Presenter: Dr. Tom Wagner is a resilience expert, a veteran psychotherapist of almost thirty years, and a life-long practitioner of contemplative spirituality. He is a prolific author, and host of the weekly blog, and podcast “sundaymorningcafe.com.” Whether he is writing, speaking, facilitating retreats, or practicing psychotherapy, Dr. Tom’s body of work exists at the crossroads where solid, time-tested contemplative practice meets resilience research.
