Sunday scripture

Fifth Sunday of Ordinary Time

Isaiah 6:1-2a, 3-8

1 Corinthians 15:1-11

Luke 5:1-11

Our weaknesses should be our Savior's entry point

"Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I dedicated you, a prophet to the nations I appointed you."

Can you remember back in grade school, when two leaders chose up sides for a game of softball or soccer, and how good it felt to be chosen? Once chosen, you knew that you belonged to a team with a mission, and that mission was to win. It was your hope to overcome all opposition.
