Arts & Faith St. Louis Seventh Annual Interfaith Concert

Event Date:
September 10, 2017

ST. LOUIS –
September 10, 2017 marks the seventh year that Arts & Faith St. Louis presents a free concert at the Sheldon Concert Hall to bring the St. Louis community together.

This year’s concert, “Building Bridges,” will feature the 442s, an ensemble with members of the St. Louis Symphony, and young singers and musicians from faith communities and schools across the metropolitan area including the Rosati-Kain Voices, an elite 20-member choir directed by Sarah Hardy.  Also performing will be the young opera star, Julia Bullock, a St. Louis native hailed by The New York Timesas an “impressive, fast-rising soprano" who will sing a new composition by Adam Maness, a member of the 442s, especially commissioned for the occasion.

                                                        Julia Bullock

As part of the concert, the audience will experience video created by teens of different faiths who first came together as part of the Arts & Faith St. Louis March 2017 presentation of “The Cave,” a theatrical work that explored the common roots of the three Abrahamic faiths --Judaism, Islam and Christianity.  The video will trace the interfaith journey of teens here in St. Louis working to build bridges of understanding. Additional video will be seen outside The Sheldon following the concert as the audience mingles with artists and faith ensemble performers.

Free tickets available for pick at the performance. Doors open at 4:30 PM
