Doctor: ‘Maybe God is telling me abortion is wrong’

"It looks like a fairly innocuous device," he said as he displayed a cannula, an instrument used to suction a baby from a mother's womb. "It's the size of a large straw and it's bendable, but it's also been responsible for the deaths of millions of unborn babies."

U.S. bishops, Iran religious leaders issue joint declaration

WASHINGTON — U.S. Catholic leaders and some of Iran's top religious figures issued a joint declaration that calls for the end of weapons of mass destruction and of terrorism and the assigning of blame for terrorist acts to an entire religion.

In the end, the snow didn’t conquer. Life was victorious.

That was the message shared through the witness and energy of 1,000 teens who came to the Cathedral Basilica of St. Louis for a special Generation Life program hosted by the archdiocesan Catholic Youth Apostolate Jan. 23.

11-year-old plays key role in standing up for life

Meghan Meehan and the pro-life club she founded, The Pros, distributed yellow "life" balloons to people attending a Rosary for Life Jan. 22 at Planned Parenthood in the Central West End of St. Louis.

An 11-year-old girl stood in the cold outside Planned Parenthood Jan. 22 holding a yellow “life” balloon and reciting the Rosary for Life along with more than 100 other people.

Meghan Meehan wasn’t just tagging along with a parent or a school group. She and members of the pro-life club for youth she founded, “The Pros,” organized the event on the anniversary of the Roe v. Wade decision in 1973 that legalized abortion in the United States.
