A funeral Mass for Marianist Father David Paul was celebrated March 11 at Our Lady of the Pillar Church in Creve Coeur.

Father Paul, 78, died Feb. 22 at a Marianist health care facility in Cupertino, Calif. Father Paul was an educator, school administrator and fundraiser.

Obituary | Br. Eugene Meyerpeter, SM

A funeral Mass for Marianist Brother Eugene Meyerpeter was celebrated Feb. 17 at Our Lady of the Pillar Church in Creve Coeur. Brother Gene taught and was an administrator at Marianist high schools and helped establish the Marianist Retreat and Conference Center in Eureka.

Brother Gene died Feb. 5 in San Antonio. He was 88 and had been a member of the Society of Mary (Marianists) for 69 years.

Born in St. Louis, he attended Hadley Technical High School and entered the novitiate at Marynook in Galesville, Wis., in 1945. He professed first vows in 1946 and perpetual vows in 1950.

Obituary | Br. William D. O'Leary, SM

A funeral Mass for Marianist Brother William D. O'Leary was celebrated Dec. 21 at the Marianist Residence Chapel in San Antonio. Brother Bill, 86, died Dec. 12.

Brother Bill served for many years in Peru and Chile and in Marianist high schools and pastoral care at hospitals in St. Louis. Born in St. Louis, he was attracted to the ministry of the Marianists at Southside Catholic High School (now St. Mary's High School) and entered the postulate at Maryhurst in St. Louis at age 15. He entered the novitiate at Galesville, Wis., in 1947 and professed first vows there in 1948.

Obituary | Br. Leo Willett, SM

A funeral Mass for Marianist Brother Leo Willett, former Chaminade College Preparatory principal, was celebrated Nov. 23 at Our Lady of the Pillar Church in Creve Coeur.

Brother Willett, 90, had been a member of the Society of Mary (Marianists) for 71 years. He died Nov. 14 at the Marianist Residence in San Antonio, Texas, .

Obituary | Br. Richard D. Middleton, SM

A funeral Mass for Brother Richard Middleton was celebrated at the Marianist Residence Chapel in San Antonio Aug. 24. A St. Louis native, Brother Richard died Aug. 18 at age 87. He had served as a teacher and librarian at Marianist high schools for more than 40 years.

Brother Richard attended McBride High School in St. Louis, where he first encountered members of the Society of Mary. He joined the postulate at Maryhurst in Kirkwood at age 15.
