OBITUARY | Sr. Darlene (Margherita) Fulgenzi, OSU

A funeral Mass was celebrated for Ursuline Sister Darlene (Margherita) Fulgenzi Oct. 20 at St. Joseph Church in Springfield, Ill. Sister Darlene died Oct. 11 at St. Andrew's at Francis Place in Eureka. She was 79.

Born in Springfield, Ill., she attended St. Joseph elementary school and Ursuline Academy in Springfield, graduating in 1956. She entered the Ursuline Sisters in July 1956 and professed vows in January 1959. She earned a bachelor's degree in classical languages from the College of New Rochelle in New Rochelle, N.Y., and a master's degree in Latin from St. Louis University.

Obituary | Sister Anne Dorothy Schober, OSU

A funeral Mass was celebrated for Sister Anne Dorothy Schober, OSU, Aug. 17 at St. Cyril of Jerusalem Church in Encino, Calif. Sister Anne Dorothy died Aug. 14 at Los Roblas Hospital in Thousand Oaks, Calif.

Born in 1945 in Jamaica, N.Y., she entered the Ursuline Sisters in Crystal City in 1964 and professed first vows in 1967. She earned a bachelor's degree in history from Marillac College in St. Louis and a master's degree in theology from St. Mary's University in San Antonio.

A funeral Mass for Ursuline Sister Kathleen Barnes was celebrated Jan. 7 in Dallas.

Sister Kathleen, 95, died Dec. 1 in New Orleans. She served many years in the Archdiocese of St. Louis.

Obituary | Sr. Mary Ellen Garvey, OSU

A memorial Mass for Ursuline Sister Mary Ellen Garvey was celebrated May 28 in the Ursuline Academy Chapel in Kirkwood. Sister Mary Ellen, a former principal of Ursuline Academy, died May 19 in Eureka at age 93.

Obituary | Sr. Alvina Marie Lorch, OSU

A memorial Mass for Sister Alvina Marie Lorch was celebrated April 30 in the Ursuline Academy Chapel in Kirkwood. She died April 22 in Eureka at age 93.

Born in St. Mary's, Mo., in 1922, Sister Alvina received her secondary education at Ursuline Academy in Kirkwood and entered the Ursulines on July 15, 1940, in Crystal City. She made profession of vows on July 21, 1943.

Obituary | Sr. Charlotte Sohovich, OSU

A funeral Mass for Sister Charlotte Sohovich was celebrated Aug. 7 at St. Ambrose Church in Godfrey, Ill. Sister Charlotte died Aug.4 at St. Andrew's at Francis Place in Eureka at age 102.

Born Leona Dolores Sohovich in Livingston, Ill., to immigrant parents from Czechoslovakia, she entered the Ursuline Sisters in Alton, Ill., in 1929 and professed vows in 1931. She earned a bachelor's degree in education from DePaul University in Chicago and a master's degree in education from St. Louis University.
