A funeral Mass for Sister Alicia Whatley, who served in the 1960s and '70s in St. Louis, was celebrated May 28 at the Seton Residence Chapel in Evansville, Ind.

Sister Alicia, age 82 and a professed Daughter of Charity for 53 years, died May 25 at Seton Residence in Evansville.

Born in Mobile, Ala., Sister Alicia was a 1954 graduate of Bishop Toolen High School in Mobile and worked for Catholic Charities in Mobile until she entered the Daughters of Charity in St. Louis in 1964.

OBITUARY | Sr. Dorothea Moll, DC

A funeral Mass for Sister Dorothea Moll, DC, was celebrated May 29 at The Sarah Community's Marian Chapel in Bridgeton. Sister Dorothea died May 23. She celebrated 53 years as a Daughter of Charity in September 2017.

Born in St. Louis, she was one of five children born to Theodore D. and Agnes (Ballmann) Moll. She was a 1961 graduate of St. Francis De Sales High School in St. Louis and entered the Community of Daughters of Charity in September 1964.

The funeral Mass for Sister Mary Carol Mautemps, D.C., was celebrated Jan. 26 at the Seton Residence Chapel in Evansville, Ind. Sister Mary Carol died Jan. 23 at Seton Residence. She was 92 years of age and enjoyed 74 years of vocation as a Daughter of Charity of St. Vincent de Paul.

Born in New Orleans, Sister Andrea (baptized Loretto André) entered the Daughters of Charity in St. Louis in 1944. She earned a diploma as a registered nurse at St. Joseph School of Nursing in Chicago in 1947, a bachelor's degree in nursing education from DePaul University in Chicago in 1951 and a master's degree in adult and hospital education from Arizona State University in Tempe, Ariz., in 1973.

A funeral Mass for Sister Yvonne Thranow was celebrated Dec. 9 at Seton Residence Chapel in Evansville, Ind. The Daughter of Charity of St. Vincent de Paul died Dec. 5 at Seton Residence. She was 89 and had served as a teacher, social worker, agency director and local community superior.

Born in Los Angeles and baptized Rita Yvonne, she entered the Daughters of Charity in St. Louis in 1946. She earned a bachelor's degree in history from Fontbonne College (now university) in St. Louis in 1952 and a master's degree in social work from St. Louis University in 1954.

A funeral Mass for Sister Margaret Mary Robins, DC, was celebrated Nov. 29 at Seton Residence Chapel in Evansville, Ind. Sister Margaret Mary died Nov. 24 at the Seton Residence in Evansville. She was 95 years old and was a Daughter of Charity of St. Vincent de Paul for 78 years.

Sister Margaret Mary was born in 1921 in St. Louis and entered the Daughters of Charity in St. Louis in 1938. She earned a bachelor's degree in education from Fontbonne College in 1948.
