OBITUARY | Sr. Teresita Kern, ASC

A funeral Mass for Sister Teresita Kern, ASC, was celebrated Oct. 17 in the Ruma Center Chapel in Ruma, Ill. Sister Teresita, 93, was a professed members of the Adorers of the Blood of Christ for 76 years. She died Oct. 13 at the Ruma Center.

Born in Red Bud, Ill., Sister Teresita made her first profession in 1941 and her final vows in 1946. She was a member of the Dietary Managers Association and was certified in food service supervision and sanitation.

Obituary | Sr. Rita Marie Lucash, ASC

A funeral Mass was celebrated Oct. 10 in the chapel of the Ruma Center in Ruma, Ill., for Sister Rita Marie Lucash. Sister Rita Marie, 89, was a professed member of the Adorers of the Blood of Christ for 70 years. She died Oct. 2 at the Ruma Center.

Obituary | Sr. Loretta Gegen, ASC

A funeral Mass for Sister Loretta Gegen, ASC, was to be celebrated Friday, Feb. 24 in Wichita, Kan. She died Feb. 20 at the Adorers of the Blood of the Christ's Wichita Center. She was 91 and an Adorer of the Blood of Christ for 72 years.

Obituary | Sr. Clara Ternes, ASC

A funeral Mass for Sister Clara Ternes, ASC, was celebrated Dec. 1 at the Ruma Center Chapel in Ruma, Ill. Sister Clara, a former hospital executive who taught medical ethics, died Nov. 27 at the Ruma Center.

She was 88 years old and had been an Adorer of the Blood of Christ for 72 years.

Born in Wichita, Kan., in 1928, Sister Clara made first profession with the Adorers in 1944 and final vows in 1949.

Obituary | Sr. Elizabeth Ann Schmidt, ASC

A funeral Mass for Sister Elizabeth Ann Schmidt was celebrated Nov. 28 in the Chapel of the New Covenant at the Adorers of the Blood of Christ Wichita Center in Wichita, Kan.

Sister Elizabeth Ann, 85, died Nov. 22 at the Wichita Center. She was an Adorer of the Blood of Christ for 69 years.

Born on her family's farm outside of Spearville, Kan., she entered the Adorer community in 1945 at age 14. She pronounced first vows in 1947.

Obituary | Sr. Mary Linus Erzer, ASC

A funeral Mass for Sister Mary Linus Erzer was celebrated Sept. 30 at the Ruma Center in Ruma, Ill. An Adorer of the Blood of Christ for 71 years, Sister Mary Linus died Sept. 24 at the Ruma Center. She was 90.

Born in Neier, she was inspired by the Adorers she met in elementary school. She made her first vows in 1945 and her final vows in 1950. Her service in Illinois reached both youth and the aged at Catholic Children's Home in Alton, St. Ann's Home in Chester, and St. Henry's Seminary in Belleville.
