A funeral Mass for Sister Marjorie (Maggie) Fisher, SCN, was celebrated Jan. 24 at St. Vincent Church in Nazareth, Ky.

Sister Maggie, 92, died at Nazareth Home in Louisville, Ky., Jan. 16. A native of St. Joseph, Mo., Sister Maggie made first vows as a Religious of the Sacred Heart in 1949 and transferred to the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth in 1979.

The program director at the St. Louis Inter-Faith Committee on Latin America from 1987-94, she was known for her efforts for social justice, especially in countries such as Nicaragua and El Salvador.

A funeral Mass for Sister Martha Ritter was celebrated Jan. 25 at Nazareth Living Center Chapel. Sister Martha died Jan. 22. She was 94 and had been a Sister of St. Joseph of Carondelet for 75 years.

A memorial Mass for Sister Mary Geralda Schaefer, RSM, will be celebrated in early February at Catherine's Residence in St. Louis.

Sister Mary Geralda, 98, died Jan. 18 at Catherine's Residence.

Obituary | Sr. Helen Fick, SSND

A memorial Mass for Sister Helen Fick was celebrated Jan. 17 in the School Sisters of Notre Dame Theresa Center chapel in south St. Louis County.

Sister Helen died Jan. 8 at Anna House in Bridgeton. She was 88 and a former teacher.

Sister Helen was born in Rich Fountain, Mo. She entered the School Sisters of Notre Dame in 1948 and professed first vows in 1951 and final vows in 1957. She earned a bachelor's degree in English in 1960 from the former Notre Dame College in St. Louis and a master's degree in education in 1975 from Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville.

A funeral Mass for Ursuline Sister Kathleen Barnes was celebrated Jan. 7 in Dallas.

Sister Kathleen, 95, died Dec. 1 in New Orleans. She served many years in the Archdiocese of St. Louis.

Obituary | Fr. David C. Sullivan

Father David C. Sullivan, a longtime hospital chaplain in the archdiocese, died Jan. 24

Funeral arrangements were pending for Father Sullivan, 84, at the Review's press time.

Born in Chicago, Father Sullivan attended Cathedral Latin School and St. Louis Preparatory Seminary in St. Louis before entering Kenrick Seminary. He was ordained in 1958 by Cardinal Joseph E. Ritter at the Cathedral Basilica of St. Louis.
