A funeral Mass for Sister M. Cecilia Beardslee was celebrated Nov. 30 at St. Francis Convent in Alton, Ill.

Sister M. Cecilia, 68, died Nov. 27 at St. Francis Convent in Alton.

Born in St. Louis, Sister M. Cecilia entered the Sisters of St. Francis of the Martyr St. George in Alton in 1967. She made first profession of vows in 1970 and final profession in 1975.

Obituary | Msgr. Thomas Woracek

A funeral Mass for Msgr. Thomas Woracek was to be celebrated Dec. 8 at Mary Queen of Peace Church in Webster Groves.

Msgr. Woracek, a retired parish pastor, died Dec. 4. He was 95 years old and celebrated his 70th jubilee this year. At the time, he was the third-oldest living priest in the archdiocese.

A St. Louis native, Msgr. Woracek attended St. Louis Preparatory Seminary and Kenrick Seminary. He was ordained Dec. 21, 1946, at Kenrick Seminary by then-Archbishop Joseph E. Ritter.

A funeral Mass for Mercy Sister Sandra Maria Sander was celebrated Nov. 22 at Mercy Center in Frontenac.

Sister Sandra Marie, 77, died Nov. 19. She was a Sister of Mercy for 59 years.

Born in St. Louis, Sister Sandra Marie entered the Sisters of Mercy in 1957 and professed final vows in 1965. She attended Hanley Junior High School and Mercy High School in St. Louis and received a bachelor's degree in biology from Webster University. She was a certified medical technologist.

Obituary | Sr. Mary Anne Murphy, FSM

A funeral Mass for Sister Mary Anne Murphy was celebrated Nov. 28 in the chapel at The Sarah Community in Bridgeton.

Sister Mary Anne, a Franciscan Sister of Mary for 59 years and a retired registered nurse and operating room supervisor, died Nov. 22 at The Sarah Community. She was 85.

Born in St. Louis, she studied nursing at St. John's School of Nursing in St. Louis (affiliated with St. Louis University) and became a registered nurse in 1952; in 1969 she was certified in operating room administration through Queens University and Hotel, also affiliated with St. Louis University.

Obituary | Sr. Elizabeth Ann Schmidt, ASC

A funeral Mass for Sister Elizabeth Ann Schmidt was celebrated Nov. 28 in the Chapel of the New Covenant at the Adorers of the Blood of Christ Wichita Center in Wichita, Kan.

Sister Elizabeth Ann, 85, died Nov. 22 at the Wichita Center. She was an Adorer of the Blood of Christ for 69 years.

Born on her family's farm outside of Spearville, Kan., she entered the Adorer community in 1945 at age 14. She pronounced first vows in 1947.

Obituary | Sr. Evelyn Kaminski, OSF

A funeral Mass for Sister Evelyn Kaminski, OSF, will be celebrated at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 22, in the Lally Room at Mother of Perpetual Help Residence, 7601 Watson Road in Shrewsbury.

Sister Evelyn, 104, died Nov. 15 at Mary Queen and Mother Center in Shrewsbury.

Born in Opole Lubielskie, Poland, her family moved to Weirton, W.Va., where she met the Franciscan Sisters of Our Lady of Perpetual Help. She entered the community in 1926 and professed perpetual vows in 1934. She received a bachelor's degree from Steubenville University in Steubenville, Ohio.
