The Archdiocese of St. Louis recovered approximately $128,000 due to the Internal Revenue Service from a payroll service that had failed to make tax payments withdrawn from a parish checking account.

Society of Sacred Heart educators set international conference

The Academy of the Sacred Heart in St. Charles will host a meeting of leaders of Sacred Heart schools worldwide Wednesday-Saturday, April 25-28.

Approximately 75 heads of schools and other representatives of Sacred Heart schools from 19 countries will attend the biennial conference. This is the third such conference and the first to be held in the United States. In 1998 it was held in France and in 2002, Australia.

The conference theme is "Collaboration for a Transformed World — One Heart, One World."
