A funeral Mass was celebrated May 7 at Ste. Genevieve Parish in Ste. Genevieve for archdiocesan priest and missionary Father Anthony G. Siebert.

Archbishop Raymond Burke has made the following appointments:

Deacon Joe E. Cox, formerly assisting the pastor of St. Vincent de Paul Parish, St. Louis, to retire effective June 15, 2007.

Deacon R. Fielding Harrison, formerly assisting the pastor of St. Joseph Parish, Josephville, to retire effective June 8, 2007.

Deacon Edwin Schulte, formerly assisting the pastor of St. Martin de Porres Parish at the Santa Maria Apartments, Hazelwood, to retire effective June 10, 2007.

Msgr. Blood named to nat’l mission board

Msgr. Francis X. Blood has been named to the national board and national council of the Pontifical Mission Societies of the United States.

Study to continue after sports proposal’s defeat
