Fresh 102.5 FM radio station will hold a live broadcast of the Vic and Trish morning show from 5-9 a.m. Friday, Dec. 6, at the Dierbergs West Oak store at Olive Boulevard and Craig Road in Creve Coeur. The broadcast will focus on the Catholic Charities of St. Louis "Add One More Person to your Christmas List" appeal. That week, people will be able to stop by any Dierbergs location to make a gift card donation to assist Catholic Charities reach out to the neediest people in the community and help provide a brighter Christmas for them.
The English Tutoring Project will hold a fundraiser from 4-9 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6, at Noodles and Company, 6310 Delmar Blvd., and 6-9 p.m. at Plowsharing Crafts, 6271 Delmar Blvd., both in the University City Loop, to benefit the children of immigrant and refugee families served in south St. Louis. The English Tutoring Project is an initiative of the St. Louis Area Women Religious Collaborative Ministries. Mention the tutoring project and a portion of the sales will be donated. A list of St. Louis missionaries provided to the archdiocesan Mission Office for an advertisement in the Oct. 21-28 edition of the Review included 61 names. Since then, it was learned of the names of six more: four Jesuit priests, Father Jerry Cusumano, serving in Japan; Father Daniel Kister, China and Korea; Father Tom Michel, Indonesia, Italy and Turkey; and Father David Wessels, Japan; a Claretian Missionary, Father Daniel Vogt, Apostolic Prelature of Izabal, Guatemala; and a Missionary Oblate of Mary Immaculate, Father Tom O'Brien, Brazil.
