Parishes to open doors for National Night of Prayer for Life

Twenty-six archdiocesan parishes will participate in the 26th annual National Night of Prayer for Life in December. They will join others around the nation in a period of eucharistic adoration and prayer for the unborn, praying for the end to abortion and for protection of the sanctity of human life. The evening prayer spans the feast of the Immaculate Conception on Tuesday, Dec. 8, and the anniversary of Our Lady of Guadalupe's first apparition to St. Juan Diego on Wednesday, Dec. 9.

The following parishes will have eucharistic adoration from 9 p.m. Dec. 8 until 1 a.m. Dec. 9:

• St. George, 4980 Heege Road in Affton, eucharistic adoration Dec. 8 at 9 p.m. Each hour will begin with Rosary, Divine Mercy chaplet and Prayer to St. Michael the Archangel. Evening will end with Mass for the unborn at midnight. Confessions will be heard after 10 p.m.

• St. Joseph, 106 N. Meramec Ave. in Clayton.

The following parishes will have eucharistic adoration from 8 p.m.-midnight Dec. 8 in union with the National Night of Prayer intentions:

• Holy Infant, 627 Dennison Drive in Ballwin (in eucharistic adoration Chapel), two Rosaries with pro-life meditations, Divine Mercy chaplet and different Litany prayed every hour.

• Our Lady, 1550 St. Mary's Lane in Festus.

• St. Dominic Savio, 7748 Mackenzie Road in Affton. Held in church after 7 p.m. Mass, Rosary prayed each hour. Parking behind church, elevator at side entrance.

• St. Ferdinand, 1765 Charbonier Road in Florissant (in eucharistic adoration chapel), Rosary and Divine Mercy chaplet prayed each hour.

• St. Mary Magdalen, 2618 Brentwood Blvd. in Brentwood (in St. Joseph Chapel), Rosary prayed each hour with Benediction at midnight.

• St. Margaret Mary Alacoque, 4900 Ringer Road in south St. Louis County (in adoration chapel).

• St. Paul, Fenton, 15 Forest Knoll in Fenton.

• St. Paul, 2267 St. Paul Road in St. Paul (in church).

• St. Peter, First Capitol Drive at S. Third Street in St. Charles, eucharistic adoration with Benediction at 11:45 p.m.

The following parishes will have eucharistic Holy Hour from 11 p.m.-midnight Dec. 8, the "Hour of Unity" with the National Night of Prayer for Life:

• Annunziata, 925 Cella Road in Ladue (in eucharistic adoration chapel).

• Assumption, 4725 Mattis Road in Mattese.

The following parishes will have eucharistic adoration at specified times on Dec. 8 or as designated in union with the National Night of Prayer for Life intentions:

• Our Lady of Lourdes, 1014 Madison Avenue in Washington, 7 p.m. Dec. 8, Mass in church followed by eucharistic adoration in adoration chapel, pro-life prayers at 8:15 p.m., Benediction at 9:15 p.m. and silent prayers through night.

• St. Ann, 7851 Hwy. YY in Clover Bottom, prayer hour 11 p.m.-midnight Dec. 8.

• St. Clement of Rome, 1510 Bopp Road in Des Peres, 7 p.m. Dec. 8 to 1 a.m. Dec. 9 (in eucharistic adoration chapel).

• St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, 2 Seton Court in St. Charles, 7 p.m. Dec. 8, Mass in church, Rosary and Divine Mercy chaplet. Following this, attendance and prayers encouraged in adoration chapel through the night.

• St. Elizabeth of Hungary, 1420 S. Sappington Road in Crestwood, 9 p.m.-midnight Dec. 8, eucharistic adoration.

• St. Francis of Assisi, 4556 Telegraph Road in Oakville. 7 p.m. Dec. 8, Mass followed by eucharistic adoration, Rosary, litany for life, stations of the cross for life and ending with Benediction at 11 p.m.

• St. Gabriel the Archangel, 6303 Nottingham Ave. in south St. Louis, 6:45 p.m. Dec. 9, Rosary followed by prayers for life.

• St. Gianna Molla, 8676 Orf Road in Lake St. Louis. Mass followed by eucharistic adoration at 8 a.m. Dec. 8, eucharistic adoration ending with Benediction at 6:30 p.m., pro-life Rosary 7:30 a.m. Dec. 9 and Mass at 8 a.m.

• St. Joseph, 1355 Motherhead Road in St. Charles, 9 p.m.-midnight Dec. 8 (in adoration chapel).

• St. Joseph, 6020 Old Antonia Road in Imperial, 9 p.m. Dec. 8, Mass followed by exposition of the Blessed Sacrament until midnight.

• St. Maurus, 10198 Highway B in Biehle, eucharistic adoration from 6-10 p.m. Dec. 8.

• St. Theodore, 5051 Highway P in Flint Hill, eucharistic adoration beginning after 8 a.m. Mass Dec. 8 ending with special prayers for life and Benediction at 7 p.m., Mass for the holy day at 7:30 p.m.

• Sts. Joachim and Ann, 4112 McClay Road in St. Charles, Mass followed by eucharistic adoration, 7 p.m. Dec. 8 to 7 p.m. Dec. 9.
