Thomas Duff to head Catholic Family Services

Thomas Duff has been named the new executive director of Catholic Family Services.

Duff, a licensed clinical social worker, has more than 14 years of experience working as a clinician and administrator. Since 2006, he has served as a treatment manager and director for United Methodist Children's Home in Mt. Vernon, Ill. He oversaw programmatic and fiscal integrity for a number of programs. Duff is a member of the National Association of Social Workers and the Illinois Sex Offender Management Board. He also serves as a board member for Big Brothers Big Sisters of South Central Illinois.

Duff succeeds Michael Halterman, who has served as interim executive director of Catholic Family Services since September 2013.

Catholic Family Services, a Catholic Charities federation member, provides individual, family, marriage/couple and group counseling, plus medication management through psychiatric services. Groups consist of anger management, parenting and self-esteem classes. Counselors have expertise in depression, anxiety, addiction, eating disorders, stress, grief and loss, employee assistance, ADHD, abuse and neglect and relationships.

Catholic Family Services has six locations throughout the Archdiocese of St. Louis: north St. Louis County, south St. Louis County and west St. Louis County as well as offices in Franklin County in Union, in Lincoln County in Troy and O'Fallon. Duff begins in his new role Feb. 24.
