Social media presence at Steubenville creates 'new type of evangelization'

Long before teens have arrived at Missouri State University in Springfield, Mo., members of the Steubenville St. Louis-Mid America team already are connecting with them through social media. Social media has long been a part of the annual youth conferences, held over two weekends each year in July. The conference is sponsored by the archdiocesan Office of Youth Ministry, part of the Catholic Youth Apostolate, and the Franciscan University of Steubenville in Ohio. More than 6,600 teens attended over the two weekends.
