Collection to aid tornado relief efforts

Efforts are under way in the Archdiocese of St. Louis to assist with the needs of residents of Moore, Okla., who were affected by a massive tornado that hit the community May 20. Archbishop Robert J. Carlson, writing to priests of the archdiocese, called the Oklahoma twister a tragedy of unprecedented proportions. He has asked parishes to take up a special collection during June to assist in recovery efforts in the Archdiocese of Oklahoma and other natural disasters in the country this year.
