Communication campaign May 19-20 helps spread the Good News

Whether in print or online or via spoken word, communication is everywhere. And within that is the voice of the Catholic Church, proclaiming the Good News of Jesus Christ. In 1979, the U.S. bishops established the Catholic Communication Campaign to respond to the local and national communications needs of the Church. A collection, to be taken up in parishes the weekend of May 19 and 20, is split equally between the Archdiocese of St. Louis' local communications efforts and the bishops' national communications office, wrote Archbishop Robert J. Carlson in a letter to all parishes.
