Rev. Mr. Brian Fallon, a Transitional Deacon for the Archdiocese of St. Louis, led a prayer service, held May 1 at the Cardinal Rigali Center in Shrewsbury, for those who suffer from infertility. A Mass is usually held around Valentine's Day, but was rescheduled as a prayer service this week because of bad weather in February. The annual event is coordinated by the archdiocesan Office of Natural Family Planning. The office provides a monthly infertility support group, moderated by a registered nurse. Meetings are held on the second Wednesday of most months from 5:30 -7 p.m., at the Mercy Medical Building, 11700 Studt Avenue, Suite C, in Creve Coeur. The next meeting is May 9th. The infertility support group also initiated the Archbishop Carlson Adoption Fund, which helps couples struggling with infertility with the costs of adoption. A trivia night to support the fund is held every October. For more information, call (314) 997-7576.
