Christ the King School welcomes Haitian student

It's a long way from Haiti to University City, but 12-year-old Jean Patrickson made the journey. Badly hurt in the 2010 earthquake in his home of Port-au-Prince, Jean was brought to St. Louis for medical treatment by the World Pediatric Project (formerly Healing the Children), which arranged surgery to save his injured leg at Shriners Hospital for Children. He has been staying with host family Paul and Frannie Erker, members of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish, and attending school while his injuries heal.
