Youth sports are a foundation for children's future, setting in motion values they will carry long after they continue playing.
Coaches and parents who gathered at the 2012 St. Louis Youth Sports Summit were urged to focus on building character in young people and stressing sportsmanship. The summit was held Jan. 14 at Maryville University and sponsored by the St. Louis Sports Commission.
