Pro-life advocates join together in National Night of Prayer for Life
Many parishes in the Archdiocese of St. Louis will participate in the 22nd annual National Night of Prayer for Life next week.
They will join others around the nation in a period of eucharistic adoration and prayer for the unborn, praying for an end to abortion and protection for the sanctity of human life.
The evening prayer spans the feast of the Immaculate Conception on Thursday, Dec. 8, and the anniversary of Our Lady of Guadalupe's first apparition to St. Juan Diego on Friday, Dec. 9.
According to Mary Beth Bettag of the United Apostolates of Jesus and Mary, "The National Night of Prayer for Life bridges the feasts of the Immaculate Conception and St. Juan Diego to honor Our Blessed Mother, to pray through her intercession for the establishment of a Culture of Life and to ask Our Lord to revive our land."
