Bicycles filled the yard of a parishioner of Incarnate Word Parish in Chesterfield earlier this year. The bikes were put in a rental truck and delivered to Catholic Charities in Joplin, Mo., for distribution to people affected by a massive tornado in May.

A spark from an article about the response to victims of a tornado in Joplin, Mo., resulted in west St. Louis County parishioners and their friends collecting and delivering a truckload of bicycles to people in the southern Missouri city.
