I invite you to hear today's parable of the landowner seeking laborers in a way that is deeper than you have ever heard it before. Father Peter Cameron, OP ("To Praise, to Bless, to Preach," Huntington: Our Sunday Visitor, 2001, p.115), tells us: "We cannot gain the kingdom of heaven if we do not empathize with the landowner of today's parable, who embodies the kingdom."
