The first thing Angela Brock-Bokern had to do in order to move forward after surviving the horror of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attack in New York -- where she was on the 61st floor of the second tower of the World Trade Center that day -- was to forgive the terrorists. "Hating someone else is like taking a poison pill for yourself," said Brock-Bokern. After her decision to forgive, she said, "I instantly felt better. My heart was lighter and freer. I needed that for me to go forward. Intellectually, you know you have to do it. Your heart has to find it. It's a struggle."
