Most Sacred Heart Parish in Eureka seized an opportunity to help people in need and the result was better than expected, thanks to the cooperation and generosity of parishioners. The opportunity involved donation incentives benefiting the Society of St. Vincent de Paul conference during the parish's pictorial directory campaign. The result was a contribution of $1,300 to the Society along with a large supply of canned goods. "People in the parish have a soft place in their heart for the work of the St. Vincent de Paul Society," said Father Rick Schilli, pastor of Most Sacred Heart.
