As a longtime youth minister, Paul Masek values new methods of communication available when reaching out to teens through his ministry. Masek, who founded the REAP Team, the archdiocesan youth retreat ministry, more than 20 years ago, has seen it all: email, blogging and then the advent of social networking -- first with MySpace and now with more popular methods such as Facebook and Twitter. The REAP Team, which reaches thousands of teens through its retreat work each year, falls under the umbrella of the archdiocesan Catholic Youth Apostolate.
