Lt. Col. Shaun Carter knows all too well what it means to be present to listen to those who need an ear. Carter was among the more than 70 women veterans who came together last weekend to participate in "Women Veterans Stand Up!" a half-day event held at the Busch Student Center on the campus of St. Louis University in Midtown St. Louis.
