Msgr. Matthew Mitas
Question:
I recently read that canon law is not simply man-made but inspired by God. Can you help me understand this?Msgr. Mitas' answer:
We must first consider what the canon law is. It is the attempt to take the Gospel, which every Catholic believes and strives to live, and codify it in a series of regulations so that Catholic people may be governed in a way that is consistent with the teachings of Jesus Christ. This derives from Church authority.A subscription is required to access this content.
