Speaking during his Angelus address at the papal summer residence of Castel Gandolfo, the pope said, “To be Christian means to be faithful to the words and example of Jesus, especially by living a love of God and neighbor.” As the parable of the Good Samaritan teaches, Pope Benedict said, people need to be like Christ, who is motivated by love and charity, and to serve their brothers and sisters “with sincere and generous love.”
