Q. At my parish, several people have begun to sing during the Acclamation (Holy, Holy, Holy),"... heaven and earth are filled with Your glory." But, the text says, "... full of Your glory." Which is correct?
A: This hymn during Mass evolved from a vision of the prophet Isaiah. In Isaiah chapter six, we read about the prophet having a vision of heaven. He sees the Lord seated on a throne in the temple, with the Seraphim above, proclaiming the text that makes up the first part of the prayer: "Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts!" (Isaiah 6:3).A subscription is required to access this content.
