Dear Father | Take steps to cultivate, support a child's religious vocation

Question:

How can parents help daughters who are considering a vocation in religious life?

Father Mayo's answer:

In a survey of 6,000 teens, 24 percent of young women surveyed said that they had at one time or another considered a vocation to the religious life. Of these, only 15 percent received encouragement from their parents to pursue the religious life.
