Annual Catholic Appeal kickoff brings extra reward for five parishes

Five parishes that were among those who had participation increases last year were awarded with $5,000 each. Parishes received one ticket at the event for each percentage point they increased participation from 2009 to 2010. Parishes with more than a 50 percent participation increase also received a five-ticket bonus. Archbishop Robert J. Carlson drew five tickets.
