New St. Charles Lwanga Center director is appointed

Archbishop Robert J. Carlson has appointed Father Arthur Cavitt as the new executive director of the St. Charles Lwanga Center. Father Cavitt joined the Lwanga Center in 2003 as a minister of evangelization and spiritual adviser. The center promotes Catholic spiritual and leadership development within the African-American community in the Archdiocese of St. Louis. It is located on the campus of St. Elizabeth Mother of John the Baptist Parish in North St. Louis. The priest also serves as chaplain and member of the administrative team at Cardinal Ritter College Preparatory High School.
