Poor Clares announce completion of building project

The building project is almost complete at the Monastery of St. Clare in South St. Louis County and will be ready for a visit from Archbishop Robert J. Carlson to celebrate Mass and bless the addition on Dec. 12.

The Poor Clare Nuns in Oakville are celebrating — the building addition at their Monastery of St. Clare of the Immaculate Conception is expected to be finished in a matter of days, and the nuns will mark the completion with an open house and Mass of thanksgiving on Sunday, Dec. 12. "It's been very busy and exciting around here," said Mother Mary Leo Hoffman, the abbess of the Monastery of St. Clare.
