Members of the Missionaries of Charity hosted this week the unveiling of a new postage stamp honoring Blessed Teresa of Calcutta, founder of the Missionaries of Charity. Father Gary Meier, pastor of Sts. Teresa and Bridget Parish in North St. Louis, led a prayer service Oct. 4 at the sisters’ convent, also in North St. Louis. Representatives of the U.S. Postal Service were on hand for the unveiling and dedication. Afterward, postal employees stayed to serve a meal at the sisters’ soup kitchen.
