JEFFERSON CITY — Ways of being faithful witnesses as followers of Jesus were spelled out at an assembly of Catholics in the state Capitol Oct. 2. The event was sponsored by the Missouri Catholic Conference, the public policy agency of the state's bishops. Held each fall, the assembly features workshops designed to help Catholics become informed voters and active citizens. Topics included abortion, health care reform, capital punishment, criminal justice, immigration and more.
