100-year-old delivers for Meals on Wheels

Printer-friendly versionPrinter-friendly versionSend to friendSend to friend   Carl Rogge said his volunteer work with Meals on Wheels in West County is nothing special. The other volunteers are incredible, he said, citing especially Fran Gusky, who is in charge of the group the day he works. He cited her for being so adept at organizing and for driving some 30 miles to St. Luke's Hospital in Chesterfield where the volunteers receive the meals to deliver to elderly shut-ins. A member of St. Clare of Assisi Parish in Ellisville, Rogge will turn 100 next month and has been volunteering with Meals on Wheels once a week since 1988.
