SpiritFest celebration of faith, importance of family
It started out as a gray, misty morning, but by the time the first band hit the stage, the clouds broke and the sun brought a warm presence.
Approximately 800 people — many of them families — came out to Camp RockyVine in Dutzow last weekend for the first-ever SpiritFest, a day of music, fun activities and the sacraments.
The event, sponsored by the archdiocesan Catholic Youth Apostolate's Office of Youth Ministry, also marked the ninth anniversary of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks on the United States.
