ACA helps woman find a new beginning in life
Daphainey Vance is saying thank you to the donors of this year's Annual Catholic Appeal.
Thousands of Catholic across the archdiocese met Daphainey through the ACA video, shown in many parishes, in which she recounted her story: A longtime heroin addict, she felt "helpless and hopeless." Then she turned for help to the agencies of Catholic Charities of St. Louis.
"The Catholic Church gave me hope," Vance told the Review. "That was the beginning of my life, that was when my life actually started."
