Changes in Mass Prayers
Of particular interest in the article about the changes in Mass prayers (June 18) was "one of the most controversial changes in the Eucharistic Prayer." Pope Benedict "ordered" that all priests pray not that Christ died "for all," but "for many." Scripture tells us in a number of places that Jesus died once, for all. Just a few of these references are in Hebrews, Romans 8:32, 2 Cor. 5:15 and 1 Tim. 2:6.
