Seven Catholic high schools win championships in spring sports competition
Bishop DuBourg, Christian Brothers College High School, DeSmet, Nerinx Hall, St. John Vianney, St. Louis University High and Visitation Academy won championships in recently completed spring high school sports seasons.
A number of other Catholic schools and athletes fared well during the season. In track and field, Baret Academy's Spice Brown was first in the 100-meter dash, Valle Catholic's Bryan Kertz was first in the shot put and St. Louis University High School's 4x800-meter relay team of Caleb Ford, Dan Raterman, Tim Rackers and Nick Seckfort came in first.
