It was a bit of an unusual scene at the end of Mass last weekend at the Church of the Holy Martyrs of Japan in Japan.
After his final blessing, Father John Patrick Day reached for his cast-iron triangle and gave it a sharp clang -- it was time for dinner. Outside, more than two dozen horses, mules and wagons belonging to parishioners were hitched to their posts.
